The following databases are subscribed to by the Santa Clara County Law Library. They are available either through our Wi-Fi, or on the library’s computer terminals.

WestlawNext

Available on library computer terminals only. Downloading/E-mailing from WestLawNext is subject to limitations.

  • Access federal and state statutes and cases, briefs, KeyCite, jury verdicts, practice guides, and treatises. Includes: Rutter guides, Witkin, Miller & Starr California Real Estate, McCarthy on Trademarks & Unfair Competition, California Expert Series, and more.

  • Reminder: WestlawNext may return results from databases that are not included in our contract. In those cases, the full contents are not accessibile to our users. Patrons can search our catalog to check if the law library has the content in print format.

Lexis Advance

Available on library computer terminals only, with ability to email, download or print materials. Shepardize, access federal and state statutes and cases, California briefs, jury verdicts, practice guides, and treatises. Includes: California Forms of Pleading and Practice, Moore’s Federal Practice, California Legal Forms Transaction Forms, California Points & Authorities, California Matthew Bender Practice Guides, and more.

CEB OnLaw

Available on your laptop or other wireless device, when using the library’s Wi-Fi. The fulltext of CEB practice and action guides, including downloadable forms.

Trellis

Available on your laptop or other wireless device, when using the library’s Wi-Fi. Access California state court trial documents (including Santa Clara County): rulings, dockets, documents, verdicts, judicial bios and analytics.

CCH Tax Materials

Available on library computer terminals only. Includes the electronic version of the Standard Federal Tax Reporter, California Tax Materials, as well as the US Master Tax Guide and US Master Estate and Gift Tax Guide.

Hein Online

Available on your laptop or other wireless device, when using the library’s Wi-Fi. HeinOnline has a substantial law journal library, as well as the Restatements, U.S. treaties, and more.

Nolo Press Self-help titles/EBSCO Legal Information Reference Center

Available through the library’s Wi-Fi network, as well as at your home or office. Contains the fulltext of Nolo Press publications. Includes downloadable forms.

Wolters Kluwer VitalLaw

Available on your laptop or other wireless device, when using the library’s Wi-Fi. Wolters Kluwer titles: Marsh’s California Corporation Law, Delaware Law of Corporations & Businesss Organizations, Employment Discrimination, California Construction Law, and Drunk Driving Defense. Also includes select James Publishing tiles with forms: California Causes of Action, California Pretrial Practice, California Objections, and more.

Xspouse

Xspouse is available for use on the the library’s computer terminal. This software provides child and spousal support calculations and is certified for court use by the California Judicial Council.
